2026 Unlocking the Ocean with Friends of OCNJ
Some intrepid Friends braved the chilly temps along with the OC Chamber of Commerce and the OC Lifeguards for the annual Unlocking of the Ocean May 22 to herald the start of beach season. We even made the local news! Thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate.

Honor your house with a historic home plaque
When you display your Historic Home marker, you become a visible part of Ocean City’s living history by celebrating your home, your legacy, and by becoming part of the many wonderful historic homes that are proudly still standing today.
Any home or building anywhere in Ocean City built before 1957 is eligible for a Historic Home Plaque.

Walking Tour
The Ocean City Historic District Walking Tour, curated by the Ocean City Historical Museum and The Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce, is a self-guided journey through historic homes, churches, and landmarks. It showcases the town's evolution from a Christian seaside resort to a vibrant community, highlighting architectural styles and preservation efforts.
