Ocean City’s historic homes tell the story of our island — one porch, gable, and shingle at a time. To help showcase and preserve that history, Friends of Ocean City History & Culture is offering custom Old House Plaques for homes built before 1957.

These plaques are a beautiful way to honor your home’s past and share Ocean City’s rich architectural heritage with neighbors and visitors alike.

Each plaque includes:

• A personalized line (the home’s historic name, first owner, or address) 

• The home’s “born on” date

• The Friends of Ocean City History & Culture name

Plaques measure approximately 9” x 7”. They are made from a durable composite, and the colors are black and gold. Each comes with weatherproof mounting hardware and a mounting template.

Cost: $100 (production costs are about $80; proceeds support our preservation work).
Timing: Please allow approximately 4 weeks for delivery from the time the order is placed.
Eligibility: Homes built before 1957, anywhere on the island — not just within the Historic District.

Our goal is to help residents proudly display Ocean City’s living history — and show how many of these wonderful homes still stand today.
